Community Service December 9, 2025 Youth Villages

Collaborating with Girl Scout Troop  to provide Overnight/Travel Bags to newly placed Foster children

The foster kids in the Youth Villages system are a diverse and underrepresented group. Some kids are in the system for anywhere from days to years. Items needed: Duffle bags, carry-on size suitcases and personal supplies (toiletries, period supplies, blankets, comfort items--no food).  Clothing items in sizes little kids up to adult 2X....sweat suits, leggings, underwear, socks, sweaters, gloves, etc.   You can pack and label a bag for a specific size/age or send bulk supplies that the staff can "shop" for a specific client.  

Anticipated date Dec 9 or 16 to take collected items and package backpacks and work in collaboration with the Girl Scout Troop to make 50-75 gift bags depending on donations received. You can also purchase through Amazon and items will be sent to the Troop.
