Greetings.

I have been posting information through AORN Nursing Networks. If you have not updated your profile in AORN, please do. It seems not all AORN members are receiving emails from Nursing Network or you do not realize this a form of communication for chapter members. I have included screen shots.

I will send more communication, dinner invite and location within the next few weeks.

Voting is Open for Nation Officers Please vote. 

We are excited to announce that Tennessee is included in the Southeast Council of perioperative Nurses and OR Today hosting a perioperative Nurses Conference at World Golf Village Renaissance St Augustine November 1-2 with the theme,  “The Power of You: Circles of Care. ” Last year’s event had over 270 registrants. The Southeastern conference is comprised of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and National AORN.

I have also included information on the Southeastern Conference. Please consider attending November 1-2 in St Augustine.

Upcoming Memphis AORN Meetings

  • April 28 5-8 PM
  • Surgical Smoke 1 CEU presented and sponsored by Medtronic (Josh Lancaster) Dinner provided location TBD. Note this will be a zoom presentation and interactive.
  • May 19 5-8 PM
  • Surgical Wound Closure Presented and sponsored by J&J/Ethicon (Lauren Pannell and Tom Mullins) Dinner provided location to be determined.

Upcoming events

  • Voting for National Officers is open now until April 7. Please cast your votes. Our Chapter receives recognition for supporting voting.   
  • Global Surgical Expo and Conference Boston April 4-8
  • Memphis AORN is proud to acknowledge Ruth Shumaker MS BSN RN CNOR as a Speaker. The topic is Are you a Perioperative or Operating Room Nurse.  Let's show our support and attend her session.
  • SAVE the DATE Nov 1-2, 2025, Southeast Council of periOperative Nurses in collaboration with OR Today will host the Southeast Council of perioperative Nurses Conference in World golf village Renaissance St Augustine Florida. The Theme is "The Power of You: Circles of Care" If not attending Surgical Expo, this is a perfect opportunity to support your chapter. We are one of the five Southeast states included in this amazing event.  More information to come.
