The Outpatient Infusion Nurse is a highly skilled and compassionate nurse responsible for providing direct patient care, administering infusions, and managing the care of patients receiving a variety of intravenous therapies in an outpatient setting. This role requires extensive knowledge of infusion medications, strong assessment skills, patient education abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. The Outpatient Infusion Nurse collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Pay Range
$32.28 - $43.58 /hour

The Outpatient Infusion Nurse collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including allergy history, vital signs, physical assessment, and review of medical history, prior to infusion administration.
- Review physician orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs, physician orders, and infusion protocols.
- Monitor patients continuously throughout the infusion process, assessing for adverse reactions, pain, and discomfort.
- Prepare and administer a wide range of intravenous medications, including but not limited to:
- Chemotherapy and biotherapy agents
Job Requirements
- Unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas
- 6 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
- Previous oncology/chemo experience is preferred, but not required
- BLS through the American Heart Association is required
